Questions

How do I calculate a selling price after markup?

Enter the cost and the markup percentage. The large result is the selling price. The line below it shows the markup amount.

Is markup the same as margin?

No. Markup is a percentage of cost added to reach the selling price. Margin is a different figure and is not calculated here.

Can I enter a custom markup?

Yes. The chips are shortcuts only. You can type any markup of zero or greater, including values over 100.

How precise are the results?

The large result is a concise reading, normally up to two decimal places. The equation keeps the full meaningful precision from IngoHub’s calculation.

Does IngoHub store the numbers I enter?

No. All calculations are performed instantly in your browser. We do not store or transmit the numbers you enter.
