Questions
How is my age calculated?
The calculator computes the exact calendar duration between the two dates. It first finds the maximum number of full years, then full months, and finally the leftover days, exactly as you would count on a physical calendar.
What does the “As of” date mean?
The “As of” date is the target date for your calculation. By default, it is set to today’s date, meaning it calculates your current age. You can change it to calculate your age on a future or past date.
Does the calculator account for leap years?
Yes. Leap years and varying month lengths are included in the calendar calculation.
What happens if I was born on February 29?
Leap-day birthdays need one consistent calendar rule in non-leap years. IngoHub uses ordinary year/month/day subtraction: the year completes on 1 March when 29 February does not exist. This is a deterministic calendar convention, not a legal definition of age.
Can I calculate my age on a past date?
Yes. As long as the “As of” date is on or after your date of birth, the calculator will show your age on that date.
Does the calculator store my date of birth?
The calculator does not require an account or saved profile. Dates stay in your browser for this page session and are not sent to an IngoHub account or API.
